All of it is written to your device and to
Apple Health, which is Apple's own store on your device and
under your control. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else, because
there is nowhere for it to go: the app makes no network requests.
Apple Health
Currimus asks for two things from Apple Health, and only uses them for what
it says:
Permission to save workouts, so a finished run becomes a
running workout in Health like any other.
Permission to read your heart rate, distance, running
workouts, resting heart rate and date of birth — to show live pace and
zones during a run, to derive your heart-rate zones from measurements
instead of a formula, and to count runs you recorded in other apps
towards your totals.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, data mining, or shared
with any third party. It is never sold. It never leaves your device through
Currimus.
Location
Location is used while a run is recording, to trace the route and measure
climb and elevation. It is used in the background during a run, because your
wrist is down for most of one. It is not used at any other time, and a run
records distance, pace and heart rate perfectly well without it.
What Currimus does not do
No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
No third-party SDKs of any kind.
No accounts, no sign-in, no email address collected.
No data sold, shared or disclosed to anyone.
Your data is yours
Delete a single run by pressing and holding it in the log.
Export everything as GPX and CSV from Settings, at any time, with no
account and no lock-in.
Deleting the app removes everything Currimus stored on your device.
Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there, and are managed in the
Health app — Currimus cannot reach them once it is gone.
Revoke Health or location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Children
Currimus is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal
information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new
date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a
clarification rather than a new use of data.
